9 Pros And Cons Of Asus Nexus 7 2012 Tablet Review (Explained)

This post is about the Asus Nexus 7 Review including Pros and Cons.

The Asus Nexus 7 2012 model was the first Nexus tablet developped by Google and produced by Asus.

It featured a 1.2Ghz Quad Core Processor, 1GB memory and had different internal stockage versions (8/16/32 GB).

The tablet was nominated the best in quality/price, it has a 7.0 inches display and is so easy to carry even on a small bag.

We’re going to learn more about this tablet with the Pros and Cons.

Below is the list of Asus Nexus 7 pros and cons which are also known as advantages and disadvantages.

Reasons to Buy Asus Nexus 7 (Pros and Advantages):

  1. The first is the CPU being a Quad Core, the Samsung Tab 2 and 3 had a dual core so this tablet is better when it comes to the CPU. That means you can do some light multi-tasking.
  2. Can survive some games like, Zombie Catchers, Hungry Shark, Score! Hero, Flappy Knife, Project : Drift.
  3. Good battery life, there’s very small drains when the tablet is inactive. The screen is the application that eats the battery much than the other apps. Wifi when tablet is inactive will not drain too much.
  4. Up to 10 fingers capacity on the screen, that means you can play multi-player board games with your friends like Ludo.
  5. Easy to carry. The Nexus 7 is small and easy to carry, good for someone who travels a lot.
  6. Upgradable to Marshmallow and even Nougat, I tried it on Marshmallow and it’s stable enough. You’ll have to install an unofficial upgrade that you can find on XDA Developers.

Reasons Not to Buy Sony Xperia Z (Cons and Issues):

  1. No SD-Card slot so you have to choose the version wisely. If you’re going to buy one, I suggest taking the 32GB version.
  2. The battery slot is so weak. If you let the tablet overcharge and forget it for hours, there’s a great chance that the slot will get out of service and you’ll have to change it.
  3. No Sim-card slot so there’s no 3G or 4G connectivity here, only Wifi.

My VerdictThe Asus Nexus 7 is a good tablet for browsing and watching. It’s also suitable for some ressource-savvy games. It’s a very good tablet to own.
